today

I had an interesting Saturday. Went to the Allegheny Homecoming game. Returned as an alumni Cornerstone recepient. Got to award two of the new 10 Cornerstones this year. It was neat. I saw Ryan Rezek, Dave Devenney & Megan Fabich (plus a few others)-- it was great to see old friends. Makes me miss everyone.

Then Jason and I decided to spend the evening in town-- yes, we went out to eat at Applebees and then caught a flick at the new Movies at Meadville. We went to see "In Her Shoes". First of all, I want to send out an apology via the world wide web to my husband (I've already apologized in person) for suggesting this movie. It was fantastic-- it was romantic-- it had its funny moments-- it was a tear jerker-- it was 100% chick flick! It could not be confused as a romantic comedy, it was that much of a chick flick. Oops. I didn't know. But, on that note, I am so glad that I went to see it. The two characters, sisters, are my sister and I to the core. The best of friends, the best of enemies. How many times has my sister burned me and how many times have still been there to back her up? Granted, I never walked in on her having sex with one of my boyfriends (sorry if that ruins the movie for anyone) but we've surely had our ups and downs... I am the older sister in the movie: predictible, stable, safe, good job, not a risk-taker, etc. Nic is the little sister through and through (well maybe not exactly the character, but you get the comparison). The movie made me think.
